什么是标榜？
　　纵观艺术教育史，自公元16世纪中期，在佛罗伦萨诞生了世界上第一所艺术学院后，短短的400年间在巴黎诞生了世界上第一所服装设计学院（公元19世纪初），从此作坊里的裁缝师傅就成为了服装设计师；在伦敦诞生了世界上第一所设计学院（公元19世纪中），从此手工艺者中有些有进取精神的人便成为了设计师；在德国魏玛诞生了包豪斯设计学院（公元20世纪初），从此艺术便与现代科学技术结下了不解之缘。
　　此后，20世纪中期，伴随美国以就业为导向的职业教育的兴起，在芝加哥诞生了PIVOTPOINT发型设计学校，这是世界上最早涉及到人的形象设计的职业教育机构，创始人是MR. LEO PASSAGE。
　　20世纪末的最后一个春天（公元1999年），继美国标榜历经了半个多世纪的时尚、艺术、设计教育的理论探索与教学实践后，在中国，一所现代（时尚）艺术设计的高等教育机构四川国际标榜职业学院成立了。
　　我们注意到，在刚刚兴起的创意产业中“人的外在形式美”、“人的内在健康活力美”已成为这个产业链上不可或缺的一环，我们运用包豪斯“科学技术与文化艺术相结合”的现代设计理论，在世界上第一个对“人的形象设计、人的健康美学”这个专业领域进行了高等教育的探索，从此世界高等艺术教育史又增加了新的一章。
　　学院将人文的关怀注入到现代人的生活方式研究，以人为本的对人居住的室内空间、景观、家具以及服装等设计领域进行研究，将“设计”的概念融入进生活美学化的理想。标榜的设计教育不是简单的形式图解，而是对生活的艺术美的体验与创造。
　　学院逐渐将视野扩大到人的视觉传达并将视觉艺术与现代科技网络技术结合，拓展到三维空间里数字艺术的研究与教学实践，使国际标榜的教育更具时代的魅力。
　　学院在艺术研究与教学实践的过程中感悟到，在创意产业的流水线上，艺术经营、创意营销、文化体验正影响着传统商业模式向现代服务业转型。培养懂艺术会经商的工商管理、市场营销、商务英语人才，为更多求学者在创意产业中找到通往商业上的成功之路，已成为学院教育研究与实践中的又一重要课题。
　　21世纪，学院将继续在科学技术与文化艺术结合，为人类美好生活服务的创意产业领域里，进行更为深入、广泛的理论研究与教学实践。在创意经济的领域里，世界发达国家已进入收获阶段，而中国则刚刚开始播种，伴随中国走向富强，为创意产业培养具有人文修养、科学修养、技术修养的高素质应用型专业人才，是历史赋予学院的神圣使命。

　　Taking a panoramic view of the art education history , since the mid- AD 16th century, the world’s first Arts Academy was founded in Florence and during the following short 400 years —
　　Saw in Paris of the world’s first　Fashion Design Academy (the early AD 19th century), where tailors in the workshop  became costume designers.   
　　The Weimar Germany saw the birth of the Bauhaus Academy of Design (the early AD 20th century), since then art has built  an indissoluble bond with modern science and　technology.
　　Henceforth, in the mid-20th century, concomitant with the rise of the American employment-oriented vocational education, born in Chicago was the PIVOT POINT Hairstyle Design School,  the world’s first  educational institution  specializing in human image design. Its founder was Mr. LEO PASSAGE. 
　　In the spring of 1999, followed by the  Pivot Point International half a century of theoretical exploration and teaching in fashion, art and design education,  a modern (fashion) art design of higher education institution was established, Pivot Point  College Sichuan .
   　 We notice that “human image design” and “human health & beauty”in newly rising creativity industry have already become one indispensable link in such industry chain. We are the first to use modern design theory of “combination with science and art” of Bauhaus to higher education for such professional field in the world. Thereafter the history of world’s higher education of art turns on a newpage. 
    　We will also implant humanistic concern into our study one modern lifestyle,uphold the human-oriented principle  to carry out research in designing aspects of interior, landscape,furniture and costume  to integrate the notion of “design” into aesthetic life. The design education of Pivot Point is, instead of graphic illustration an experience and creation of artistic beauty towards life.
    　We also gradually extend our vision to human visual communication, by integrating visual arts with modern network technology, exploring teaching practice of digital art within 3D space, in order to equip Pivot Point  with better sense of time. 
    　In the process of art research and teaching practice, we realize that that, in the “Industry of originality”, creative marketing and cultural connotation are transforming from traditional business model to modern service model. To train student in business administration, marketing management and business English, and to assist the scholars towards their success in creative industries, we understand they make up our primary objective for future educational research and practice. 
    　In the 21st century, we will continue in-depth & extensive theoretical research and teaching practice by combinging science technology with arts and culture. In the field of creative industries, we understand that developing countries are now on the stage of harvests, while China is just at the beginning to seed . Along with China becoming more prosperious, we hold it our historical mission to, for creative industries, train quality graduates with high human, science and technology accomplishments,
